OUR STORY
Lindy Apartments, LLC was formed by Ron & Mary-Jane Haddad in 2004 to meet the needs of those students seeking high quality off-campus housing. The house that Ron’s mom was renting, and the one next door, were being sold. She, at age 96, was fearful of needing to move… so… Ron decided to buy both houses, and Lindy Apartments was born. Both houses were in need of extensive renovation and since then, several additional houses have been purchased and renovated, joining the original two.
When Ron’s wife, Mary-Jane, a lifelong educator, retired, she joined his operation as Rental Manager. What began as a hobby to preserve some of Willimantic’s historical Victorian homes has developed into a thriving rental business.
Because our focus is on student rentals, and having had our own three children rent off-campus during their college years, we are keenly aware of the unique needs and lifestyle of our student tenants. We are known for our friendliness to all of our tenants, and especially for our quick response to any rental issues.
Our apartments are all located close to ECSU campus and just a 12 minute drive on Route 195 to UCONN’s Storrs Campus. All of our properties are highly sought after because of their size, modern amenities, and the fact that they are very well maintained. Many students stay multiple years, creating the need for a waitlist when vacancies occur.
